Year of Projects 2021/2 Week Nine

Only a very quick update from me today. I’ve finished my Mothed jumper this week and it’s currently being blocked. I’ll write a proper post about it later in the week but here it is.

I’ve made little progress on anything else this week as I have shingles and haven’t felt like doing much of anything. There has been some progress on the socks but not much. I’ve also finished watching the School of SweetGeorgia class on blending boards and I’ve dug out a Hilltop Cloud mixed bag of merino and silk to start having a go. It will be good to finally get the board out from under the bed where it’s sat for the last year!

  1. Singles is awful. Hope you recover soon. Your jumper looks great. Is it cool where you live so that you can wear it? It will be at least October before I’ll be able to wear a jumper. Right now it’s too hot to even take our morning walks.

    1. It’s a little warm here at the moment but I live in a Welsh stone cottage so it’s cold in summer but very warm in winter once the stove is lit. I’m usually in jumpers when it’s hot and sunny outside 😂

  2. The jumper looks great. Sorry to hear about you having Shingles, hope it clears up soon. I have been tempted a few times by Hilltop Cloud’s hand painted wool tops but haven’t purchased any yet as I have so much fibre already and have some undyed fibre too I need to dye up myself. I like using my blending board for making rolags, have fun playing with yours.

  3. Be well! I hear shingles is the worst.
Your sweater is great! I’m sure it will keep you cozy when you need it.
I can’t wait to see your blended fibers! Those colors are all very beautiful.
